The Role of Prayer

Series:
Passage: Matthew 6:5-15

Join us for our Sunday morning worship as we continue to explore what it means, in these world shaking times, to build our lives on The Rock. This week we're thinking about the role prayer has in shaping our lives on 'The Rock'.

This week we also looked at the wall - where each week we're sharing photos, creations and scripture sent in by members of our church community. If you'd like to share what you've been up to, or want to encourage others with scripture, you can find out how to on our website.

Jenny talks about how we should pray, and how we don't need to use special words or be selective about what we pray about, but we can talk openly to a God who is interested about us. God desires a personal relationship with us - he's interested in what we think is mundane, or boring.

We need God's help. God is passionate about us - he's concerned about the things that make us laugh, or cry; the world we live in; longing for an intimate relationship with us.

Want to talk?

If you have any questions, or you'd like to talk about something that came up in our service, or if you'd like to have someone pray with you, or for you, please feel free to get in touch.

Reading

This week we are looking at Matthew 6:5-15, read to us by Anne.

Favourite song

This week we heard from John and Christine from Orchard Baptist Church, who shared with us their favourite song: Jesus, Lover of my Soul.

Receive our 'Thought for now'

Members of our church are helping us to grow together by writing a 'Thought for now', which we're sharing through email. If you'd like to receive these (twice weekly), please get in touch.

We would love to see what you've been up to, and how God has been revealing himself to you in these times. There's more information about how you can share this with us on our website.
