Nehemiah’s Prayer

Preacher:
Passage: Matthew 16:13-18

Join us this week as we look at Nehemiah's prayer together, guided by Andy. As part of the service, we also receive an exclusive tour of Andy and Heather's allotment, where they have been growing a variety of different fruits and vegetables. We look this morning at Ezra and Nehemiah, who were exiled from Jerusalem. We learn that both felt themselves stirred by God to return to their homeland of Jerusalem, and asked by God to bring their people home. Nehemiah's prayer (Nehemiah 1:5-11) shows Nehemiah asking for God's help. Andy also talks about how Nehemiah's story relates to the reading we heard earlier - the rock Jesus wanted to build his church upon. God is still building his church today.

Favourite song

This morning we peak to Andrew and Jane, who have been keeping themselves busy during the lockdown. Andrew's favourite song is Here is Love, Vast as the Ocean.

It's absolutely great hearing from you, discovering things you've been doing, and sharing your encouragement. We would love for you to continue to send in pictures, tell us what you've been up to and learn of the ways God has been speaking to and encouraging you. We'd also like to share these to help encourage others at this difficult time. There's more information about how you can share this with us on our website.
