Injustice

Series:
Passage: Micah 6:1-8

Join us for our Sunday morning worship as we continue to explore what it means, in these world shaking times, to build our lives on The Rock. This week we're thinking about our response to injustice.

Jen speaks to us about how God tells us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. To love in the way Christ has shown us.

We cannot have justice without humility, and mercy. Jesus said to: "Love your neighbour as yourself, and love one another as I have loved you."

Rob then helps us to think about three different ways we can respond whilst building our lives on The Rock. When one part of the body of Christ hurts, then all parts hurt - lives built on The Rock hurt together.

We are all made in the image of God, so we should all seek justice. It's not enough to say we are not racist, we need to be anti-racist. Lives built on The Rock do something - and don't stand and watch. We are called to help and to serve.

  • Lives built on the Rock hurt together
  • Lives built on the Rock seek justice
  • Lives built on the Rock do something

Favourite song

This week we spoke to Mike and Jan, who told us a little bit about what they've been up to, and chose their favourite song: My Jesus, My Saviour, which reminds Jan of the strength the Lord gives. The chorus also helps us to remember that the Lord is with us, in whatever situation, providing comfort, shelter and protection.

Reading

We heard from Kathryn, who gave us an overview of what she's been up to, and read to us from Micah 6:1-8.

Reflection

We listened to the song King of Kings, with the music by iSingWorship - all rights reserved.

It's absolutely great hearing from you, discovering things you've been doing, and sharing your encouragement. We would love for you to continue to send in pictures, tell us what you've been up to and learn of the ways God has been speaking to and encouraging you. We'd also like to share these to help encourage others at this difficult time. There's more information about how you can share this with us on our website.
