Who do you say I am?

Continuing our new The Rock theme, this week we look at what it means to build our lives upon the rock. Who do we say Jesus is? How can we build our lives upon the rock?

Rob looks at how several famous people and characters took on their names, and what they mean - symbols of strength, of nations and of profession. How do these people relate to our relationship with Jesus?

Becoming saved by Jesus takes three steps:

  1. Acknowledging we need saving.
  2. Accepting Jesus is the only one who can save us.
  3. Allowing Him to save us - making that decision to be saved by Jesus.

When we make that decision and are saved, we become a little bit like Simon Peter, representing Christ, and having a firm foundation to build our lives upon.

Favourite song

This week David and Denise select their favourite song - In Christ Alone. A song with powerful lyrics and reminding us all that "no power of hell, no scheme of man, can ever pluck us from his hand."
