Join us this week as we worship together. This week we are again continuing our series looking at the book of Daniel, a series looking at the story of a man who through God achieved great things.
This week we also take communion as a church family, and you are welcome to join - whether you've got wine or juice, bread or biscuits, we remember Jesus' sacrifice together.
As part of our worship, we'll be using music by iSingWorship - all rights reserved.
Church members meeting
On Tuesday 17th November there will be a church meeting at 7:30pm on Zoom.
You may remember from earlier in the year that churches are supposed to register with the charity commission by April next year. It was our plan to prepare for his over our church meetings this year. Clearly COVID has made this difficult. We expect the deadline for this to be extended, although this has not been confirmed yet.
As part of this process, we are considering converting out legal status to what is called a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). As part of the preparation for the meeting we asking you to watch a Baptist Union webinar on the subject of CIO’s which will explain more about what it is and what the benefits are.
As part of the charitable organisation registration we will need to have a new constitution. Whether we become or do not become a CIO affects the type of constitution we have so this will be a very important decision which will affect our church going forward.
Rob and Jenny are taking a week's holiday over the coming week, and so there will be no online service next Sunday (1st November). We encourage you to attend an online service from another church - there are many available online, including some suggestions, such as:
- Bretton Baptist Church, Peterborough
- Amesbury Baptist Church, Salisbury
- Soul Survivor Watford, Watford
